Semiconductor Modelling
Fast 1D Poisson–Schrödinger modelling of semiconductor layer structures — build a stack, solve it, and see the band diagram straight away.
EpiSolve is a 1D Poisson–Schrödinger solver for semiconductor heterostructures, with an interactive interface and built-in plotting. It makes building and solving epitaxial layer structures fast and visual: define a stack, solve it, and read the band diagram, carrier densities and fields straight from the result.
EpiSolve is freeware and available for Windows and macOS, with a Linux build to follow — a native desktop application with everything it needs bundled in, so no separate Python installation is required.
What you can do with EpiSolve
- Build epitaxial layer structures quickly, through an interactive interface with live plotting.
- Solve the equilibrium electrostatics with a 1D Poisson solver.
- Find confined states by solving the Schrödinger equation over a region.
- Run capacitance–voltage sweeps and extract doping and barrier heights.
- Read band diagrams, carrier profiles and fields on one plot.
